Tucked into the tip of the Osa Peninsula, Cabo Matapalo is a five-mile run of point breaks, warm water, and howler monkeys in the trees behind the sand. Eddie has taught here for years — reading the swell, picking the right beach for the day, and staying in the water with every student until they’re standing. This page is a placeholder while the full site is built; everything else about the school is open for business.

A thorough orientation on positioning plus the entire time in the water helping us catch the right waves. In the space of an afternoon Eddie had us up and surfing at beautiful Pan Dulce.
It felt more like surfing with a friend than a teacher. We surfed Pan Dulce and Backwash and it was amazing how he found the sweet spot every single time. Pura vida, Eddie.
We walked to Matapalo falls with him and he taught us so much about local flora and fauna along the way. Our son was thrilled about the coconuts he cracked open. Highly recommend.
